"I still need to give you a manicure."

He keeps getting distracted.

"Maybe tonight."

"That'd be nice," Credence murmurs. "You could teach me how to do it?"

It'd be a nice thing to be able to do for him.

"Absolutely."

He agrees, reaching out with a bare foot under the table to stroke his legs.

"Polish for me, something more maintainable for you, what with all the cooking."

"Thank you. Before now I only-"

His leg twitches briefly under Peter's touch.

"Shiro, the girl who I - she painted my nails for me once. But then not at all until I met you."

[anonyreyev]

"Perfect."

He agrees, and starts into the vegetables.

"Is your skin feeling a little better?"

Their last non-trashed date ended with a few care products being left at his place.

Credence nods, still almost surprised by the fact.

"My elbows don't feel as rough any more? And my feet are a lot better now."

He hadn't really appreciated that he had bad skin anywhere until it started getting better.

"Good." He says, laughing. "I'll have a feel later and see if there's anything you need to adjust."

Which is a pretty transparent excuse.

Judging by the sliver of a smile Credence offers over the rim of his glass, he's very well aware of that. And quite pleased with it.

"That sounds really nice. You can use my bath too, if you want."

How's that for transparency.

"Well well."

Says Peter, all approvingly, and lets that foot brush up over his knee, rest into his lap. Sounds good to him.
