"It doesn't really do anything," he says, as the rainbow starts to fade into the air. "The first time I did it, it kind of...exploded. My room got really, uh, colorful."

He doesn't care. It looks cool, and it's honest to god magic, and Credence remembered his Barge past and made it into something nice.

"No kiddin'? Maybe you can do it again, on purpose this time."

"I'm not sure. I think it just happened then because I'd never done magic before and had a lot bottled up."

As if the splinters of his room aren't testament to the fact that it's all still there.

Ray hadn't gone so far as to assume he did this all by hand, no. He clears his throat but doesn't glance around meaningfully like he really, really wants to do.

"It's still a cool trick. You wanna show me more of that, you know where to find me, right?"

Magic! He's still not over it.

Credence nods.

"There was a lot from my world that I was learning, but I don't have my wand any more."

As he learned back then - as he learned again, with Grindelwald - he needs that point of focus to keep his magic targeted..

"Can't we get you one?"

He asked for a phoenix and here it is, pecking at Ray's ear. Surely they can manage a wand?

"You should be able to. One of my other wardens did."

He isn't even really sure why he came back here without it.

"Okay, got it. I'll let you know if the Admiral gets it for you."

"Thank you. Again."

Rune gives Ray a final nuzzle and then practically floats from his shoulder to Credence's.

"You're welcome, Aurelius," he says, then nods at Rune, "Big Bird. I'll let you get in touch with Quentin. Dinner tonight?"

Credence nods, although the cultural reference is lost on him and he simply assumes that 'big bird' is a similar nickname to 'tigers'.

"Yes. I'll meet you in the dining room."
