He says, with a smile.

"Yeah we are."

He says, brightly, and picks himself up.

"Okay, Credence, I'd better get back- but we're on shift tomorrow, right?"

"Yes," he nods. "I'll see you then."

And insofar as he looks forward to anything, he's looking forward to that.
